빗썸은 투자자 보호를 위한 거래지원 정책의 일환으로 거래 지원 중인 가상자산의 거래 지원적격성 유지 여부에 대한 지속적인 모니터링 및 감독을 시행해 오고 있습니다.

 

빗썸은 [가상자산 투자유의종목 지정 정책]에 따라 아래와 같이 투자유의종목 신규 지정을 공지합니다.

■ 투자유의종목 신규 지정 종목 및 사유 (투자유의종목 지정 정책)

• 라이트코인(LTC)
  라이트코인(LTC) 재단에서 금번 진행한 네트워크 업그레이드(version 0.21.2)를 통해 라이트코인 네트워크 내 2,265,984 블록에서 밈블윔블(MimbleWimble Extension Blocks, MWEB) 확장 블록 업그레이드가 공식적으로 활성화 되었습니다.
  
  밈블윔블(MWEB) 확장 블록 업그레이드 내용으로는 라이트코인 네트워크의 확장성 향상이 포함되어 있지만, 그 핵심 항목으로는 거래 정보가 노출되지 않는 강화된 '익명 전송(Confidential Transaction)' 선택 기능이 포함되어 있습니다.
  
  2021년 3월 25일부로 개정 특정금융거래정보의 보고 및 이용 등에 관한 법률(이하 특정금융정보법)이 시행됨에 따라 익명성이 높은 가상자산거래를 통한 자금세탁 및 공중협박자금조달의 위험성을 예방하기 위한 법적·제도적 장치로서 가상자산사업자에 대하여도 자금세탁행위 및 공중협박자금조달행위의 효율적 방지를 위한 의무를 부과하고 준수하도록 규정하고 있습니다.
  
  또한 빗썸은 투자자보호를 위한 "거래 지원 정책"을 통해 "법령 또는 정부, 금융당국의 지침에 위배되거나 규제의 대상이 되는 경우 거래지원을 종료"하도록 규정하고 있습니다. 이에 "법규 준수" 및 "투자자보호를 위한 내부 정책"에 따라 해당 가상자산에 대하여 투자유의종목으로 지정하고, 거래지원 종료 여부를 최종 검토할 예정입니다.

 

■ 투자유의종목 신규 지정 일정

• 지정일 : 2022. 05. 23 (월)
• 출금 오픈 시점 : 네트워크 안정성이 확인되는대로 별도 공지 예정
  * 현재 라이트코인(LTC)는 네트워크 업그레이드 시점부터 입출금이 중단된 상태로 별도의 입금 서비스 중지는 진행되지 않습니다.
• 지정 연장, 해제 / 거래지원 종료 공지 일정: 지정 사유 해소 시

※ 본 일정은 내부 사정에 의해 변경될 수 있습니다.

※ 투자유의종목 지정 기간 내 지정사유 해소 시 투자유의종목 지정 해제가 가능합니다.

In order to protect our users and to construct a transparent digital asset market, Bithumb is monitoring our listed projects to check transaction support eligibility.

Bithumb has decided to designate Investment Warning Digital Asset according to the [Bithumb Digital Asset Investment Warning Designation Policy].
Please see below for the details.

■ Designated Investment Warning Digital Asset and Reasons (Investment Warning Designation Policy)​

• Litecoin(LTC)
  The version 0.21.2 network upgrade by the Litecoin(LTC) Foundation officially enabled the MimbleWimble Extension Blocks (MWEB) upgrade on 2,265,984 blocks within the Litecoin network.
  
  The core contents of the Mimblewimble (MWEB) upgrade include improved scalability of the Litecoin network and an enhanced 'Confidential Transaction' option that does not expose transaction information.
  
  From March 25, 2021, the revised Act on the Reporting and use of Specific Financial Transaction Information (hereinafter referred to as the Specific Financial Information Act) will take effect. The revised Specific Financial Information Act stipulates that virtual asset service providers(VASPs) are obliged to efficiently prevent money laundering and public threatening activities as legal and institutional devices to prevent money laundering and public threatening activities as legal and institutional devices to prevent the risk of money laundering and public threatening through anonymous digital asset transactions.
  
  In order to protect our users and investors, "To delist digital assets that are against the regulations or guidelines provided by the government and financial regulatory authorities" is also inclueded in Bithumb's listing policy. Based on "To be compliant with related regulations and laws" and "Internal policies in order to protect investors", Bithumb decides to designate the above assets as investment warning assets, and will make the final decision on whether to end the transaction support.

 

■ Designated Investment Warning Digital Asset Schedule

• Date of Designation : 2022. 05. 23 (Mon) (KST)
• Time of Withdrawal Service Resumption : A separate announcement will be made as soon as the network stability is confirmed.
  * Currently, deposits and withdrawals for Litecoin(LTC) have been suspended from the time of network upgrade, and no separate deposit service will be suspended
• Announcement Schedule of Extension, Termination of Designation / End of Transaction Support: When the reason for designation is resolved 

※ This schedule may change due to internal circumstances.

※ Being designated as an "Investment Warning Digital Asset" does not indicate ending transaction support of the project. The designation can be removed when reasons for designation have been resolved. In case when termination of designation or end of transaction support is decided, we will make separate announcements regarding this matter.
